Discussion about the Core Competence of the Social Worker for the Aged and Its Training Strategy

随着老龄化社会的到来,我国老年社会工作服务的内容得到了充实,服务水平进一步提高,老年社会工作者的素质和能力逐步提升,但核心能力部分仍需亟待提高。研究发现,老年社会工作者的核心能力包括价值、知识以及技巧三个层面,具体包括年龄平等、全人健康、积极老龄化、健康促进、社会照顾、服务管理、生命回顾、临终关怀、哀伤辅导以及照顾管理十个方面的能力。可通过专业教育培养专业核心能力,通过继续教育提升职业核心能力,通过政策倡导保障老年社会工作者核心能力建设的实现。

With the advent of the aging society, the content and level of social work services for the elderly in China have been further enriched and improved. The quality and ability of the elderly social workers have gradually improved, but the core competency part needs to be improved. The study found that the elderly social worker core ability includes three aspects of value, knowledge and skills, including age equality, holistic health and cultural interaction, health promotion, social care, case management, life review, hospice care, grief counseling and crisis intervention ten ability. Combined with the actual situation, we can cultivate professional core competence through professional education, enhance core competence through continuing education, and promote the implementation of core competency of elderly social workers through policies.
