Critical Thinking Ability Investigation and Cultivation in English Writing

英语写作是英语专业的基础课程。传统的教学模式已经不符合当今以培养应用型人才为目的的教学趋势。通过问卷与测试,将样本进行数据统计与分析,发现当今大学生的思辨能力有待提高,尝试将思辨能力培养纳入写作课程的教学目标。思辨能力作为当今大学生不可或缺并亟待提高的一项技能,可以对英语写作课程产生积极作用,而英语写作也可以与思辨能力相结合,做到写作技能与思辨能力相互作用,共同提高。

English writing is a basic course for English major. The traditional instruction model of it cannot conform to the cun＇ent application-oriented teaching trend. Through questionnaire and tests, it is found that college students need to en- hance their critical thinking ability, so critical thinking ability cultivation is consisted into the English writing teachingand target. As an indispensable and enhance-desiderating ability for college students, critical thinking can help to develop writ- ing ability, and English writing class can also combine with critical thinking cultivation, in order to accomplish mutual en- hancement of both English writing and critical thinking abilities.
