中医疾病名称英译方法研究

Study on Translation Methods of Terms of TCM Disease

本文对中医病名英译的方法进行了探讨。对中医英译的文献进行了回顾,总结了中医疾病术语翻译的5条基本原则:对应性、同一性、简洁性、民族性、约定俗成。翻译方法包括直译、意译、音译及几种译法相结合。规范中医病名的翻译对推广中医药文化、推进中医的现代化和国际化都有重要意义。

This paper explored the methods of English translation of TCM disease terms. The literature on English translation of TCM was reviewed. Five basic principles of translation of TCM disease terms were summarized ：correspondence, conciseness, identity, nationality and convention. Translation methods include literal translation, free translation,transliteration and combination methods. Standardizing the translation of TCM disease terms has significance for promoting TCM culture and promoting the modernization and internationalization of TCM.
