A Study on the Composition of English Majors' Academic Competence from the Perspective of Dynamic Systems Theory

学术能力的发展是不同的子能力交互作用的动态过程,呈现出非线性发展的特点。从动态系统理论视角探讨英语专业学生的学术能力构成,认为英语专业学生学术能力由各种变量构成,包括语言能力子系统、知识能力子系统和研究能力子系统。这些子系统内部之间具有复杂动态性,影响英语专业学生学术能力的发展。

Academic competence development is a dynamic process incorporating the interaction of various sub-competencies and has a characteristic of non-linear development. This paper explores English majors＇ academic competence components from the perspective of Dynamic Systems Theory（ DST）. It is thought that English majors＇ academic competence consists of various variables,which is a complex dynamic system,including language competence subsystem,knowledge competence subsystem and research competence subsystem. There exists dynamic complexity between these subsystems,which influence English majors＇ academic competence development.
