On Xi Jin-ping's “Dual-Nature” Housing Policy

习近平住房"二重性"思想是其民生思想在住房领域的重要体现,是对我国城市住房模式发展的经验总结,是对住房属性的科学再定位,其继承和发展了马克思主义住房思想,是新时代中国特色社会主义思想的重要内容。基于住房"二重性"思想,"租购并举"住房模式将成为我国城市住房制度改革的目标与方向。

Xi Jin-ping’s “dual-nature” housing policy is an important expression of his theory of people’s livelihood. It is a summary of China’s urban housing patterns. It is also a scientific re-orientation for the nature of housing. This theory inherits and develops Marxist idea of housing and is an important content of the thought on socialism with Chinese characters for the new era. Based on the “dual-nature” housing idea,“rent-purchase” housing model will become the goal and direction for the reform of China’s urban housing system.
