The historical background of the construction of Taiwan province is the premise of Liu Mingchuan’s development of Taiwan,and its economic thought has been put into practice in the process of development. Liu Mingchuan’s development of industry and commerce,the introduction of foreign capital,the reform of the financial and taxation system and the importance of economic talents were the main contents of his economic thought and practice.
