XUE DUBI' S WORKS IN THE MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR IN 1928——BASED ON THE STUDY OF THREE KINDS OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS BULLETIN OF THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA

1928年,薛笃弼就任国民政府内政部长一职,成为南京国民政府首位内政部长。薛笃弼能够就任部长一职是多重因素的结果。其在任一年,在诸如治理社会匪患、净化社会毒瘤、卫生建设的社会问题上成果颇为显著;在推动国货运动的进行和抵制外货入侵的问题上,也发挥着不可忽视的作用;而对于国民政府官员的腐败现象,薛笃弼与内政部也是不遗余力予以解决。但是,从薛笃弼对此类社会经济政治等问题的治理效果来看,其工作中存在的不足甚至错误也需要指出并引以为戒。

In 1928, Xue Dubi became the first Minister of Interior of Nanjing national government. It was a result of multiple factors. Xue Dubi made a significant contribution in addressing the social problems such as bandits, hygiene problems and other persistent problems. He also played an important role in promoting the movement for national goods and resisting the invasion of foreign goods. He and Ministry of the Interior also worked hard to address corruption within the national government.However, for such issues as social and economic politics, the work of Xue Dubi and the Ministry of the Interior had shortcomings and even mistakes, which need to be pointed out and corrected.
