历史本质上是人的活动史,作为社会历史根本观点和总的看法的历史观,既要正确地认识社会历史,也要合理地评价和导向社会历史的发展,应当是认识维度与价值维度的统一。唯物史观作为完整严密的社会历史观,不仅包含着科学的社会历史认识,也包含着以人的发展为核心的优秀价值取向。唯物史观的科学认识与价值取向是相辅相成、相互支撑的,价值取向要以科学认识为基础,科学认识要以价值取向为导向。正确认识唯物史观科学认识与价值取向的关系,既有助于在理论上确立唯物史观的完整性,也有助于在实践中理解和解决我国社会的主要矛盾。
