Dang Zhongqin's Clinical Experience in Treating for Functional Constipation

寒凝、气滞、热结、气血阴阳亏虚均可引起肠道传导失司以致便秘,其基本病位在大肠,同时与肝、脾、肾三脏密切相关。党教授针对功能性便秘的病机特点,立足全身气机运化、六腑以通为用,以降为顺,从津、液、气、血全方位着手,兼顾疏肝滋肾,创立通幽汤以健脾理气导滞,滋肾润肠通便。同时定时排便、有氧运动、合理膳食,有助预防功能性便秘。

Cold condensate,Qi stagnation,Heat junction,Qi and Blood deficiency as well as Yin and Yang deficiency may cause intestinal conduction dysfunction and eventually cause constipation. The basic location of the disease is in the large intestine,and it is closely related to the dysfunction of Liver,Spleen and Kidney. Prof. Dang focuses on the pathogenesis of functional constipation,being based on the whole body＇s Qi transportation,and the theory of Six Fu needs to be unblocked and Fu Qi needs to descend. In treating for the disease from perspectives of Fluid,Liquid,Qi,and Blood and taking care of Liver and Kidney function,Tongyou Decoction was created in treatment of constipation. By tonifying Spleen,regulating Qi and removing stagnation,Kidney can be nourished and the disease can be cured. At the same time,regular defecation,aerobic exercise,and reasonable diet would also be helpful in preventing from the functional constipation.
