Religious Tradition and Religious Others——Fredericks' Thought about Interreligious Dialogue

宗教对话是当前宗教研究领域备受关注的前沿问题。美国学者弗雷德里克认为,宗教对话首先要坚守宗教传统,其次要承认宗教差异,并向宗教他者开放。他以佛教和基督教之间的对话为例具体阐释了这一问题,这一具有后现代色彩的对话理论为宗教对话提供了新的视域。

Interreligious dialogue is a forefront issue in the field of religious studies. American scholar Fredericks thinks, religious dia-logue firstly should hold religious tradition, secondly admit religious differences, and open to religious others. He interprets concretely the problem with the example of the dialogue between Buddhism and Christianity. The theory with postmodern color has provided a new perspective for interreligious dialogue.
