Practical experiences of slugging and replace of sewage pipeline of a diameter of 500 mm under pressure and a low environmental temperature of-20 ℃ are introduced,which contains analysis and treatment according to the project general information,preparations,working procedure,the difficulties and precautions.Items including risk analysis,firefighting measures,solutions,civil works,thickness and slugging location determination,prepare of heat tracing pipeline and setup of warming shelter,installing and commissioning of slugging machine,prepare support structure for slugging machine,tee and fastener welding,installation of special sandwich valve,building up pressure and opening holes,putting down the cylinder plugging machine,cutting off pipeline and adding valves,installing plug and blind cover are detailed.A whole process from welding fasteners to the end of the plugging are achieved within 20 hours,which can be a reference for the similar project.
