Chinese-English Bilingual Corpus of Account of Inebriate Pavilion: Construction and Application

为对《醉翁亭记》的英译进行实证研究,将构建《醉翁亭记》双语语料库。首先对语料库翻译学作了简介——涉及国外和国内学者的研究,其次从四个方面阐述了双语语料库的构建——语料的选择、语料的对齐、语料的分词和标注以及语料的检索,也指出了建立语料库的三大难点——英汉文本句子的切分和对齐问题、语料标注的可信度问题、标注和检索软件的研发问题,并提出了相应对策。最后,探讨《醉翁亭记》双语语料库的应用,包括以往研究的不足和本研究的优势。

The paper construct the bilingual corpus of Account of Inebriate Pavilion to conduct the empirical research of English translation. Firstly, it makes a brief introduction of corpus translation, including the study of foreign and domestic scholars. Secondly, it expounds the construction of bilingual corpus from four aspects – the choice of corpus, the alignment of corpus, segmentation and annotation of corpus and the retrieval of corpus. Thirdly, the paper points out the three difficulties of establishing corpus - segmentation and alignment of English and Chinese texts, credibility of corpus annotation, and development of annotation and retrieval soft ware’s, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures. Finally, the application of bilingual corpus of Account of Inebriate Pavilion is discussed, including the shortcomings of previous studies and the advantages of this study.
