独立学院是上个世纪末在我国江浙等地高等教育界兴起的一种新生事物。自创办以来,独立学院便以名牌高校为母体,以高起点的教学环境等优势,吸引着众多考生,获得了蓬勃发展,为我国高等教育事业做出了重要贡献。但由于体制束缚、政策缺失等因素的制约,独立学院在发展中出现了诸多问题。随着国家相关管理政策的出台和支持,独立学院步入探索自主办学的发展道路,向独立设置的民办高校转型是独立学院未来发展的最为可行之路。

Independent college is a new thing in higher education field of Jiangsu and Zhejiang in China at the end of last century. Since its establishment, the independent college has taken famous colleges and universities as its parent body, attracted a large number of examinees and made great contributions to the cause of higher education in our country with the advantages of high starting point teaching environment and so on. However, due to institutional constraints, lack of policy and other factors, independent colleges in the development of a lot of problems. With the introduction and support of relevant national management policies, independent colleges have stepped into the development path of exploring independent schools, and the transition to independent private colleges and universities is the most feasible way for independent colleges to develop in the future.
