The May Seventh Cadre Schools had produced huge negative influences on those Cadre and Intelligentsia studying there. TheSchools badly injured the health of many cadres and intellectuals, infringed upon their freedom and rights, hurt their feelings and madethem unprecedented doubtful of the value of knowledge and lack of confidence in future. Accordingly, their personality was distorted,their intelligence was neglected, their specialty was suppressed, and their works were out of practice with rare outcomes. Besides, lotsof tragedies occurred. Many of them were inhumanely animadverted on, and some were even persecuted to death. However, objectivelyspeaking, in the Schools, Cadres and Intelligentsia not only increased their knowledge of producing and skills in laboring but also builtup the concepts about laboring. Also, their body was exercised, and their will was annealed.What’ smore, their experience in the schoolsfurnished them with chances and conditions to understand the situation of the people and the country, and to be close to the people.
