三棱为黑三棱科植物黑三棱削去外皮的干燥块茎,是常用的活血化瘀药,临床多用生三棱和醋三棱。现对三棱的炮制、有效成分及药理作用的研究进行综述,为三棱的开发利用提供参考。

Sanleng is the dry,peeled tuber of Sparganium stoloniferum Buch.-Ham. It is bitter,mild,and in spleen,liver channel. It is a herb with effects of activating blood circulation and relieving pain,commonly used to dissipate blood stasis in clinic.
