以往学者有关江户时期日本诗坛唐宋诗之争的研究,多注重二者在诗风、诗论不同方面的比较。然而通过考察日本江户诗坛流行的诗话、汉籍的刊刻、对中国诗人的接受以及具体的汉诗创作等方面,可以发现日本江户诗坛唐宋诗之争"貌殊神合"的本质,即对"主情"的唐诗的偏尚以及对江西诗派的拒斥,从中亦可以看出日本文化对中国文化的选择性以及日本江户诗坛的本土化特性。
