民本思想是中国政治体制正当性的基石

On People-orientation Thought Being the Cornerstone of Legitimacy of Chinese Political System

得民心者得天下,失民心者失天下,民心所向是统治者建立和维护其统治正当性的依据。中国现行政治体制的孕育、诞生、成长以及正在进行的国家治理体系和治理能力的革新,无不体现民本思想是中国政治体制存在的正当性的基石。执政者要保持其执政地位的正当性,就必须保持同人民群众的血肉联系,强化执政体系的制度安排和执政人员的业务能力培养,争取广大人民群众的理解和支持,以巩固其执政地位的正当性。

It is people＇s support that decides whether ruling authorities can exist and last their governance or not. It is people＇s support that is the basis for ruling authorities to establish and maintain the legitimacy of their governance. In China, the origination, foundation and development of current political system, as well as the reform in national ruling system and ruling competence, embody that people-orientation thought is the cornerstone for Chinese political system to exist and maintain legitimacy. If ruling authorities want to maintain legitimacy of their ruling positions, they must keep close relationship with people, strengthen systematic arrangement for ruling system, develop ruling stuff＇s professional competence, and try hard to gain people＇s understanding and support, so as to maintain legitimacy of their ruling positions.
