C9高校学术发表水平距离世界一流水平还有多远?——与全球“四榜进士”大学的比较

How Far is the Academic Publication Level of C9 Universities Away From That of World-Class Universities?:Compared with TOP100 Universities in the Four Global University Rankings

高水平学术发表是一流大学办学水平的基本表征。在QS、THE、ARWU、US NEWS四大排行榜中均位列前100位的大学可被视为最具代表性的世界一流大学样本,而C9高校可被视为国内一流大学的代表性群体。从发表总量、论文质量、影响力、国际化程度四个维度的核心指标来看,国内一流大学群体总体上已形成快速追赶之势,但与世界一流大学相比仍存在学术发表数量并跑但质量悬殊的问题,而在论文影响力上的差距极其明显,表征绝对质量的篇均被引、CNCI等指标差距最大。此外,国内高校国际化水平明显低于国外一流高校,国际声誉亟待提升。

High-level academic publications are the basic representation of the level of running worldclass universities. The TOP100 universities in QS, THE, ARWU and US NEWS rankings can be regarded as the most representative examples of world-class universities. Similarly, C9 universities can be deemed as the representative group of high-level universities in China. In terms of the core indicators in four dimensions,including the total publication volume, thesis quality, influence and internationalization level, domestic highlevel universities, on the whole, have been rapidly catching up with world-class universities. However, although Chinese high-level universities are paralleling with world-class universities in the amount of academic publications, they still fall behind on the publication quality, further behind in terms of the influence of publications and the farthest behind on average citation times, CNCI and other indexes for papers with absolute quality. In addition, the internationalization level of C9 universities is significantly lower than that of world-class universities, calling urgently for an improved international reputation of C9 universities.
