摘要
"外壳名词"又称"泛指名词""抽象名词"和"载体名词"等,喻指那些传递和表征命题信息一类抽象名词。近年来,外壳名词在学术语篇中的作用已逐渐受到学界关注,但鲜有研究系统地考察其在新闻语篇中的表现。因此,本文在其他相关研究基础上,基于由4000余条英语新闻组成的对比语料库,对不同类型的外壳名词在新闻语篇中的使用进行初步分析和对比。
Shell nouns, also known as general nouns, signalling nouns and anaphroie nouns, refer to the abstract nouns which pass and characterize the proposition information （such as fact, claim, etc. ）. In recent years, although the role of shell nouns in academic discourse has gained increasing attention, little research systematically examines its expression and position in news discourse. Therefore, in reference of other related research, this paper makes a preliminary description and analysis on the use and position of different types of shell nouns in discourse based on the English news corpus composed of more than 4,000 news discs.
