现代医学英语书面语语料库建设及其意义

Construction of the corpus of modern English medical writing and its significance

语料库是医学英语研究的有效工具,但现有的医学英语相关语料库仍然具有十分突出的问题,比如:语料体裁类型单一;同一语料库在体裁分类上前后不一致;语料的现代性欠缺等。就当前研究需要而言,医学英语相关语料库的平衡性是急需解决的。鉴于此,本研究重点探讨构建现代医学英语书面语语料库的一些设想,在语料抽样、语料预加工、语料标注以及建库出版等方面提出一些看法,在理论及应用层面对建立类似语料库的意义作了概括。

Corpus is an effective tool for medical English research,but current corpora of medical English still demonstrate problems such as limited inclusion of text types,inconsistency in the classification of text types and lack of modern medical English. In order to build a balanced corpus for modern medical English,we will in the present paper suggest a general framework for constructing the Corpus of Modern English Medical Writing（ CMEM）,and describe such procedures as sampling,pre-processing,annotating,constructing and publishing. The significance of constructing corpus of this kind is also discussed in the paper.
