比较、研究国内外高校的专业设置,可以发现,不同类型的高校,在专业设置的类型和数量上有不同的选择:国际国内一流大学(或研究型大学)的专业以学科型专业为主,专业数量较少;地方高校以学科型和应用型专业为主;高职院校以技能型专业为主。高校专业结构与规模的调整应与其定位和培养目标相吻合,与社会的发展相融合,与其学科建设和特色发展相协同。

Comparative analyses of the undergraduate major setup in both domestic and overseas universities show that different types of universities have different choices in deciding on the types and quantity of the majors.The first-class overseas and domestic universities set up their majors on the basis of the disciplines and have a small number of majors.Local universities mainly set up disciplinebased and application-oriented majors.High vocational colleges have their majors set up based on special skills.The structure and scale of the majors should be adjusted to the orientation and training objectives of universities,be integrated with the social development,and be coordinated with the discipline construction and characteristic development of universities.
