Symbolic meaning of the link between urban and rural “foreign cultural field”——On the “Malaysia River bridge” in Lu Yao's novella Life

路遥的中篇小说《人生》自1982年发表后,引发了文学界乃至社会的广泛关注和激烈讨论。学术界从多个角度对小说《人生》给予了持久而深入的解析。本文从小说叙事中多次出现的物象"大马河桥"角度,解读其蕴含的象征寓意。"大马河桥"作为"一条纽带",连接城乡"异域场域"故事架构、城乡"异域文明场域"矛盾冲突、城乡"异域文化场域"身份差异等。"大马河桥"承载着历史内蕴,同时具有当下激励意义。

After Lu Yao＇s novella Life was published in 1982,there was widespread concern and heated debate in the literary world and society. The academic circle made a lasting and in-depth analysis of the novel from various perspectives. From the perspective of the repeated image ＂Malaysia bridge＂in the narrative,this paper interprets the symbolic meaning contained in it. As a link,the＂Malaysia bridge＂serves as the story architecture connecting the urban and rural＂foreign field＂,as the conflict between the urban and rural ＂foreign civilization field＂,and as the identity difference between the urban and rural ＂foreign cultural field＂.＂Malaysia bridge＂carries the historical connotation and has immediate motivational significance.
