摘要
美国作家查尔斯·弗雷泽于1997年出版小说《冷山》,同年荣获美国国家图书奖。该作品在文学界引起了广泛关注和高度评价,但却未有对这本文学巨著中成长主题的深入研究,故从成长小说的角度对《冷山》进行探析,采用文本细读的研究方法,阐释主人公的认知发展和心理成熟过程主要经历了以下三个阶段:内心挫折-精神觉醒-成熟蜕变,揭示战争时期美国人民整体的生存困境和精神状态。
Cold Mountain,American writer Charles Frazier's novel,was published in 1997 and awarded the National Book Award in the same year. It has attracted broad attention and high praises in literary circles,but there is still no further research on its initiation theme. This paper explores Cold Mountain from the perspective of initiation story with the research method of intensive reading of the text. It elucidates the following three main stages of the protagonists' psychological maturity and cognitive development: inner frustration-spiritual awakening-maturity and transformation,and reveals the survival predicament and mental status of American on the whole during the wartime.
