This paper summarizes Professor Qiu Jianxing＇ s experience in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with syndrome of dampness-heat stagnating in intestine. It is considered that the majority of patients with syndrome of dampness-heat stagnating in intestine are in Lingnan area. The therapy of clearing intestines and promoting diuresis, invigorating spleen and benefiting qi should be applied as principle, and Huofeng Qingchang Decoction is created as recipe. One proven case is presented.
