镇江开埠与社会变迁

On Port Opening of Zhenjiang and Its Social Vicissitude

清朝在第二次鸦片战争中战败,被迫签订中英、中法《天津条约》与《北京条约》,开放镇江等十口通商。镇江开埠对社会各方面产生了深远影响。以往学者多将研究视角投射到开埠对经济、商业等方面的研究,其实开埠对镇江政治生态、社会文化的影响同样重大。从政治、司法与文化的视角考察开埠后镇江社会的变迁,可以拓展并深化开埠对镇江社会影响的研究。

The government of Qing dynasty was defeated in the Second Opium War and was forced to sign Tian jin Treaty and Beijing Treaty with England and France respectively. China was forced to open ten ports inclu cling Zhenjiang as well. Port opening of Zhenjiang exerted a profound and far reaching impact on all aspects of so ciety. In the past, scholars mostly projected the research perspectives to the study of economy, commerce and so on. In fact, the impact of port opening on Zhenjiang＇s political ecology and social culture is equally significant. It can broaden and deepen the influence study of port opening on Zhenjiang society to observe and investigate the so cial vicissitude after port opening of Zhenjiang from perspectives of politics, judicature and culture.
