中医药文化传播和中医翻译研究——以中医翻译名家魏迺杰为例

中医药文化传播及中医翻译研究者涉及到国外传教士、汉学家、海内外医学工作者、医学和英语教育领域人员等,其中涌现出一些杰出的代表人物。本文以外籍中医翻译名家魏迺杰为例,对魏迺杰的个人背景、翻译内容、翻译思想、研究活动、主要成就及其学术影响等进行分析和评介,旨在促进"中医翻译"这一边缘但重要性日益突出的领域登台亮相,名家们的业绩和贡献的彰显,也将激发更多国内外学者的研究兴趣,开发中医翻译研究新动力新源泉,结合中国文化走出去的国家战略,对中医药文化乃至中华文化的国际传播意义重大。

The researchers of cultural transmission and researches on the translation of traditional Chinese medicine involve overseas missionaries, sinologists, medical workers and Chinese TCM doctors and educators among whom outstanding representative personages emerge in large numbers. In this paper, a case study on the famous TCM translator and researcher Nigel Wiseman is conducted by analyzing and reviewing his personal background, translation works, translation theories, researches, chief achievements and academic influence in order to promote the studies on the field of TCM translation. And the achievements and contributions of the famous translators will stimulate the interests of overseas scholars and exploit new power and source. In combination with the ＂ going global＂ strategy for Chinese culture development, it has profound influence on the international dissemination of TCM culture and even Chinese culture.
