Beijing＇s traditional hutong residential areas reflect the characteristics of placeswhere older generations live. The distinctive architectural forms, comfortable and intimatestreet space, and the unique life culture of old Beijingers bring unique psychological awarenessto people, which reflects unique spirit of Beijing Hutong. Through the analysis of the naturalenvironment, artificial environment and human environment of Shajing Hutong, this paperanalyzes the building strategy of the local spirit in Hutong residential area.
