On the Possible Reasons for the Missing of the Second Half of Mei Lanfang's Journey to the Soviet Union

梅兰芳在1935年访问苏联后写了《梅兰芳游俄记》的上集,叙述了赴苏的筹备经过,原来他计划在下集中写在苏联与斯坦尼斯拉夫斯基、梅耶荷德、布莱希特、高尔基等在学术上的探索研究。其中,重点是谈梅耶荷德对梅剧团技艺的高度评价。从各种文献来看,在梅兰芳第一次访问苏联时,和他交谈得最多的就是梅耶荷德。可是,《梅兰芳游俄记》的下集始终没有动笔写作,本文探讨的就是下集缺失的主观与客观两方面的原因。

In 1953, during his visit to the Soviet Union, Mei Lanfang has written the first half of the book Mei Lanfang ＂s Journey to the Soviet Union, in which he describes the preparation of this journey. He planned to later write about his academic interaction with Stanislavski, Meyerhold, Brecht and Gorky. In particular, he intended to include Meyerhold＇s compliments to his troupe, with whom Mei Langfang has talked most in his first visit to the Soviet Union in records. However, the second half of this book never came out. This paper looks into the possible reasons.
