摘要
20世纪美国黑人戏剧发展史上的三次重大理论之争实质上是坚持黑人戏剧的美学至上,还是坚持黑人戏剧的政治功用的问题。然而,这些理论之争最终没有分出胜负,充分说明美国黑人戏剧的政治性、美学性之间相互影响、密切交织,都是美国黑人戏剧不可分割的重要组成部分,这些理论之争也反映了美国黑人戏剧创作背后不同意识形态之间的分歧。
The 20th century has witnessed three major theoretical controversies in the African American theater, and the debating sides either attach importance to the black theater's aesthetics or focus on its political function. However, there are no winners in these theoretical controversies. This fully illuminates that politics and aesthetics are interactive and interrelated in the African American theater, and both are the indivisible parts of the black theater. The theoretical controversies also reflect the ideological differences between different African American playwritings.
