服务于国际化人才培养的外语通识课程体系建设

ON THE BUILDING OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE CURRICULUM TARGETED AT IMPLEMENTING GENERAL EDUCATION AND CULTIVATING INTERNATIONAL TALENTS

随着高等教育国际化和通识教育改革的深入,大学外语课程的重要地位日益凸显。国内对国际化人才培养及通识教育的目标内涵及指标体系尚未形成系统描述,大学外语课程对国际化人才培养目标和通识教育目标的达成度较低。基于国内外文献研究,对国际化人才培养目标与通识教育目标的内涵及指标体系进行了界定。同时,比较了国际化人才培养目标和通识教育目标的异同,并以此为参照,分析了国内大学外语课程设置对双重目标的支撑情况及存在的问题。基于目标导向理念和系统理论,探讨了服务于国际化人才培养的外语通识课程体系的建设原则及体系构成。

With the internationalization of higher education and the implementation of general education reform, foreign language courses are becoming more important than ever before. However, for the lack of a consensus on the rationales for international talents cultivation and general education, foreign language courses have failed to fully accomplish the goals of international talents cultivation and general education. This article,based on the dominant discourse both at home and abroad, attempts to outline the rationales for international talents cultivation and general education. A contrastive study between the two rationales is then made to serve as a framework to examine the current problems with foreign language curriculum development in Chinese higher education institutes. Finally,this article, based on the OBE concept and the system theory,puts forward a systematic model of foreign language curriculum building targeted at mutually advancing general education and cultivating international talents.
