Diversified Currencies of Ten Kingdoms During the Period of the Five Dynasties

五代十国时期,与中央王朝并存的还有被称为"十国"的几个割据政权,这些割据政权虽辖区不大、持续时间不长,但在货币发行方面却花样繁多,其铸行的钱币有虚额大钱、铁钱、铅钱、铜钱,还有泥钱、布币及镇库巨钱等,从而使中国货币史进入了一个多样化时期,不仅为后世的钱币收藏与研究留下了资源,也留下了不少谜题。

During the period of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, regional regimes coexisted with the central government. Although these regimes had small areas of jurisdition and short time, they had created a variety of currencies. The materials of coins wore iron, lead, copper, and even clay, and so on. As a result, the history of Chinese currency entered a period of diversification. They left not only rich resources for collection and research of coins for later generations, but also a lot of mysteries.
