There always exists basic contradiction between people’s needs and natural resources. It is the basic issue that runs though the development process of the relationship between man and nature, requiring in-depth analysis to alleviate, which is one of the core issues of ecological civilization construction. It is through starting from analyzing the manifestation of “need” in different historical periods and the specifc form in a certain period of time that we can fnd out the methods and ways to solve the “need contradiction” in the construction of ecological civilization.
