张竹坡《苦孝说》写作缘起新论

A New Perspective on the Motivation of Zhang Zhupo's Writing “Theory of Painful Fealty”

《苦孝说》是张竹坡批点《金瓶梅》卷首总论中的一篇。考察《苦孝说》的写作缘起对于正确理解张竹坡评语的思想内涵具有重要作用。从《苦孝说》原文出发,结合张竹坡家世、生平以及《金瓶梅》中的评点文字可以从新的角度研究此问题。张竹坡写作《苦孝说》有三种创作动机:其一为张竹坡在失怙后因不能侍奉母亲而痛苦;其二为张竹坡因张家家世而痛苦;其三为张竹坡因父亲遗愿和个人人生理想无法实现而痛苦。三种创作动机综合作用导致张竹坡写作《苦孝说》来阐明其心中的"苦孝"之感。

＂Theory of painful fealty＂ is one of the critical articles in Jin Pingmei by Zhang Zhupo. It is important for us to understand Zhang＇s thought from his writing motivation of the article. The text of ＂Theory＂, combined with Zhang＇s family, life story and his remark, show us a new way to research the motivation. There are three creative motivations in ＂Theory＂. First, after his father＇s death, Zhang feels painful for unable to support his mother. Second, Zhang feels painful about his family background. Third, because of father＇s last will and his own ideal stay unrealized, Zhang feels painful. Owing to these, Zhang expresses inner pain by ＂Theory of painful fealty＂.
