高职院校的校内实习公司从资金来源上看，可分为政府资助型、引进企业型、学校自主筹建型和校企合作股份制型等；从经营形式上看，可分为来料工型、创业孵化型、完全自主经营型、科研技术服务型等。目前高职院校的校内实习公司中，比较典型的有以重庆机电职业技术学院校内宇海模具公司为代表的校企合作经营型，以广东轻工职业技术学院“液压气动及自动化”实习基地为代表的引进企业型，以及以广州铁路职业技术学院“四有工”实习基地为代表的学校自主筹建型。
