On Translators' Textual Awareness in the Translation of Zhuang Folk Songs

译者是否具有良好的语篇意识,对译文质量的影响显而易见。译者对语篇功能和文本类型的界定,事关翻译策略和翻译技巧的选择;译者对源语篇形式衔接的识别及文化缺省的预估,则事关译文语篇的衔接与连贯重构。壮族民歌植根于特殊的壮族文化情景语境,通过特定的形式衔接构成其语篇连贯特点。要保证其翻译质量,需要明确其文本类型,识别其衔接形式及其标记性,在连贯重构时优先照顾标记性强的连贯形式,并对情景转换出现文化缺省时采取补救措施以构建情景语境的连贯。

It is easy to find how translators’textual awareness influences the quality of a translated text.Their awareness of the text type and text function relates to their choice of translation strategies and translation techniques;their recognition of the various forms of coherence and possible cultural default of the source text decides how they’ll reconstruct the coherence and cohesion of the translated text.Zhuang folk songs were deeply rooted in the Zhuang cultural context,the coherence of which have their own typical characteristics.To ensure the quality of their translation,translators need to be aware of their text type,the forms and markedness of their coherence,so that those obviously marked form of coherence may take some priority during the reconstruction of coherence in the target text and that some remedial translation techniques can be used to deal with possible cultural vacuum in the translated text.
