Colonial Dublin was glutted with officially-dominated achitectures which served as representations of colonial rule, hence the colonized especially the Catholics were deprived of the sense of home and the ability of cognitive mapping. The paper focuses on the urban, the Phallus, and the western space to expose the penetrating inscription of colonial powers to the Dublin geography and the Dubliners' psychology. Through space, colonial powers exert a decisive influence on individuals' physical and psychological activities, and finally lead to the otherization and spiritual paralysis of the colonized.
