摘要
由于出版迟滞等诸多原因,爱尔兰作家詹姆斯·乔伊斯的短篇小说集《都柏林人》没有得到学界的应有重视。中国《都柏林人》研究起步于20世纪初,自80年代以来进入了较为快速的发展阶段,并取得了较为丰硕的成果。纵观该领域研究,中国学者仍未能彻底走出西方文艺理论的藩篱,本土化研究相对滞后。此外,《都柏林人》研究在作品语言、文化内涵以及美学价值等方面也还留有诸多空白。为了进一步缩小中国《都柏林人》研究与西方的差距,并拥有自己的话语权,更多研究共同体应该加入到本土化研究的队伍中来。
The delay of the publication of Dubliners, by the Irish novelist James Joyee, led to the ignoring of the criticism, both universally and in China, which calls for the attention of scholarship. Chinese criticism of Dubliners starts in the early 1980s, and achieves a remarkable success. However, the history of Chinese study shows that more western approaches applied, so criticism of Dubliners in China wants very much a Chinese critical perspective. In addition, further study of Dubliners in terms of language, euhure, and the aesthetic value would be required. Chinese scholars have to endeavor to catch up with the world, and build up Chinese eiritieal discourse. Hence there is a call for diversified forces of scholars joining in the localization of the study.
