As an important way to achieve sustainable development, it is believed that planning environmental impact assessment is of great practical signifcance. It can fully guarantee the quality of pollution control, realize the rational utilization of resources and ensure the sound development of the ecological environment. In practice, the application of detailed planning environmental impact assessment is more and more extensive. Based on the practice of the detailed control planning project of Tongchuan Automobile City in Ordos City, this paper discusses the principles and procedures of the environmental impact assessment of the detailed planning in China. In order to improve the quality of evaluation and promote the sustainable development of the ecological environment.
