宋元名人蒲寿庚曾孙辈有蒲本初其人,罗敬之认为淄川蒲氏始祖蒲璋就是蒲本初,其说难以成立。据新发现的史料和研究成果,元代的蒙古族人在元世祖至元二年(1265)之后同样可以出任路总管一职;否认蒲松龄的远祖蒲鲁浑、蒲居仁为蒙古族人,还需要寻找其他证据。清康熙五十四年(1715)所立"蒲姓始祖之墓"碑文称始为淄川蒲氏始祖蒲璋立碑者为蒲续芳,盛伟《蒲松龄年谱》识读为蒲继芳,应予订正。蒲松龄的排行有两说,可表述为蒲松龄为蒲槃继室董氏所出之次子,于行为四;因其长兄兆箕少年夭亡,又叙次为三。蒲松龄的乡前辈唐梦赉在蒲松龄出生时已十四岁,路大荒《蒲松龄年谱》计数为十三岁,后出的张景樵、刘阶平、盛伟、罗敬之四种《蒲松龄年谱》沿袭了这一错误,应予订正。

Pu Shougeng was a famous person who had ever lived in both Song and Yuan Dynasty. One of his great-grandchildren was Pu Benchu. Luo Jingzhi argued that Pu Benchu is the ancestor of Pu＇s extended family whose name was Pu Zhang. This opinion is not evidential. According to the historical materials which have been discovered lately and research papers related,the Mongolians of Yuan Dynasty had the right and chance to be the first class leader of Lu since 1265. If someone plans to deny the ancestors of Pu Songling——Pu Luhun and Pu Juren were both Mongolian,they have to search for new evidences to prove it. The tombstone of Pu＇s ancestor which was established in 1715 said that the very first person who set up the tombstone for the ancestor of Pu was Pu xufang. However,Sheng Wei said that person was Pu Jifang in his book Pu Songling＇s chronicle. It should be corrected. There are two common sayings about Pu Songling＇s birth order. One is that he was the second son of Pu pan＇s second wife Dong shi and he was the fourth son in the whole family. But because his eldest brother Pu zhaoji died when he was a teenager. As a resuh,Pu Songling should become the third son in his generation. Tang Menglai was fourteen years old while Pu singling was born. However,Lu Dahuang said Tang Menglai was thirteen years old in his book Pu songling＇s chronicle. The four kinds of Pu＇s chronicles which were written by Zhang jingqiao,Liu jieping, Sheng Wei,Luo jingzhi respectively made the same mistake like Lu dahuang. It should also be corrected.
