国内英语话语标记语研究述评

A Review of Domestic Research on English Discourse Markers

话语标记语是言语交际中常见的语言现象,在不同的语境里有不同的语用功能。近年来,话语标记语已成为国外语用学、社会语言学研究的焦点,国内也掀起了话语标记语的研究热潮。本文详细回顾了国内对英语话语标记语的研究,发现国内主要关注英语话语标记语的语用功能、二语习得、翻译等方面,且呈现研究范围扩大、研究内容转变、研究方法更新的趋势。文章指出,该领域未来的研究可参照其他英语话语标记语研究、英语话语标记语共时与历时研究、大型语料库建设方向。

Discourse markers are linguistic phenomena that usually appear in verbal communication and are endowed with different pragmatic functions depending on the context.In recent years,discourse markers have become focal points in pragmatic and sociolinguistic studies abroad,and there has also been a great upsurge in studies of discourse markers at home.This paper presents a detailed review of domestic research on English discourse markers,which are found to be studied mainly in terms of pragmatic functions,second language acquisition and translation,demonstrating a tendency of expanded research scope,changing research contents and updated research methods.The current paper also points out possible directions for future research along this line,including studies of other discourse markers in English,their synchronic and diachronic studies together with the creation of large corpora.
