党的十九大立足未来五年处于"两个百年"目标的交汇期,提出了建成社会主义现代化强国分"两步走"的战略安排,为我国社会主义现代化建设进一步指明了方向。新时代"两步走"战略的提出,既立足以往战略规划的基点,又具有深刻的现实依据。第一个百年目标的实现决定新时代"两步走"战略的起步,新时代"两步走"战略则进一步擘画第二个百年目标的实现。这个战略不仅完整勾画出社会主义现代化强国的时间表及路线图,还把基本实现社会主义现代化的时间提前了十五年,对第二个百年目标的实现也提出了更高且更全面的要求。

It puts forward a "two steps" strategic arrangement for the building of a strong socialist country, which further points the direction for China's socialist modernization drive. The "two steps" strategy of the new era is not only based on the basis of the previous strategic planning, but also has a profound practical basis. The realization of the first centennial goal will determine the start of the "two steps" strategy in the new era, and the "two steps" strategy in the new era will further undermine the realization of the second centennial goal. This strategy outlines the timetable and road map for socialist modernization, brings forward the basic realization of socialist modernization by 15 years, and puts forward higher and more comprehensive requirements for the realization of the goals of the second century.
