The Connotation Relationship between “Luoyang Knowledge” and “Central Plain Knowledge”

作为地方学,"洛阳学"与"中原学"是两个既相互联系又相互区别的地方学概念。"洛阳学"研究的是洛阳地区的历史与现实问题,"中原学"则研究的是整个中原地区的历史与现实问题。"洛阳学"是"中原学"内涵的核心,两者的研究对象具有一定的共性。区别在于,"中原学"研究的地域范围、文化内容与内涵比"洛阳学"更加广泛,二者在研究的广度和深度上都有不同的表现。

As local knowledge, ＂Luoyang knowledge＂ and ＂Central Plain knowledge＂ are two concepts which associate and also differentiate with each other. ＂Luoyang knowledge＂ means the research on historical and realistic problems in Luoyang area, and ＂Central Plain knowledge＂ means the research on historical and realistic problems in the whole Central Plain area. ＂Luoyang knowledge＂ is the core content of ＂Central Plain knowledge＂, and the object of research of both has something in common. The difference lies in that what ＂Central Plain knowledge＂ studies is wider than ＂Luoyang knowledge＂ in the district sphere, culture content and connotation, and the two areas＇ knowledge are also different in their width and depth.
