汉语借形表义词论析

Research on Words Whose Meanings are Symbolized by the Characters' Forms in Chinese Language

借形表义词以物形与字形的相似性为基础,通过字形描摹来表现和指称客观事物。现代汉语中借形表义词数量大、类型多,但未有人做全面详细考察。本文借助多个语料库进行分类统计,对借形表义词的类型、特点做了讨论分析,并以李运富、何余华"汉字超语符功能"理论为借鉴和指导,对汉字、字母、数字三类借形表义词的机制与成因问题做了研究。

Based on the similarities between the form of a given word and the shape of a given object, the jiexingbiaoyi(借形表义) word, with its meaning illustrated by the form, used to name a certain object with the morpheme reflecting the structural feature of the character. In modern Chinese, there exist a large number of such words in various types, but detailed research has not been made yet. With the aid of corpora, the essay discusses the types and features of these particular words and conduct a research into the following three kinds of these words —illustrated by characters, alphabets and figures — in terms of mechanism and causes of formation under the guidance of the Trans-glossematic Function of Chinese Characters Theory proposed by LI Yunfu and He Yuhua.
