中心静脉置入设备（central venous access device,CVAD）作为临床用药和输血,以及血液透析、血浆置换、血流动力学监测和反复采血的途径,临床应用逐渐增多。CVAD可以经皮下组织直接置入中心静脉长期保留,也可经周围静脉置入（peripherally inserted central catheter,PICC）。
