Wuxi is “a city linked with canal” and enjoys exceptional advantage of historical culture resources of the Grand Canal. The feature of “Jiangnan water alleys,unique waterway beauty” has become the golden landmark of Wuxi local culture. The Grand Canal of China running from south to north passes through Wuxi, offering the city historical humanity value, nourishing the local culture, and realizing the so-called “sweet waters breeding fragrant culture” and “great virtues bearing all things”. It is the reason accounting for the prosperity of old Wuxi and also the basis for new Wuxi culture to spread across home and abroad.
