Line burnout is a common fault of diesel locomotives. This paper mainly analyzed a line burnout fault of DF7 locomotives, introduced the inspection steps of line burnout of diesel locomotives, determined the cause of the fault was the short circuit caused by the logic error of ground switch, and analyzed the cause of the fault. Finally, the corresponding rectification measures were put forward, which was of great significance to improve the operating efficiency of the internal combustion engine and ensure the safe operation of the internal combustion engine.
