Objective To investigate the effects of continuous nursing intervention on the compliance of treatment, wound care and healing of patients with venous leg ulcers. Methods A total of 128 patients with venous leg ulcers who were admitted to the hospital from January 2016 to December 2017 were convenient selected randomly divided into two groups: intervention group (65 cases) and control group (63 cases). In the routine nursing intervention, the intervention group implemented continuous nursing intervention on the basis of the control group, and compared the clinical nursing effects of the two groups. Results After two groups of patients were followed up for 3 months, the treatment compliance rate (95.38%) in the intervention group was significantly better than that in the control group (73.01%) (χ2=12.142, P=0.000); before the intervention, the wound care ability of the two groups was different. There was no statistically significant difference in scores (t= 0.061, 0.964, 0.081, 0.238, 0.365, P〉0.05). After the intervention, the scores of wound care ability in the two groups were significantly higher than those before the intervention, and the wound care ability of the intervention group was different. The scores were significantly higher than those in the control group (t=7.007, 12.691, 3.425, 9.142, 8.411, P〈0.05); the total effective rate of ulcer healing in the intervention group (90.77%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (71.43%) (χ2=7.855, P=0.020). Conclusion Continuous nursing intervention after discharge from patients with venous leg ulcers has a positive effect on improving patient compliance, wound care ability, and ulcer healing effects, and is therefore worthy of clinical promotion.
