The variety identification of the whole sand core is the most important information which needs to be solved first in the whole process of sand core transfer. The correct and rapid determination of product varieties can ensure the tracking, management and circulation of products throughout the process. By use of external dimensions detection technology, the online overall sand core variety has been accurately and rapidly identified. The data communication with sand core inventory and logistics management system has been realized. Thus in this way, the automatic production of multi-variety mixed line has been achieved.
