R&D of 5.5T dense superconducting magnet system with zero rate evaporation

摘要 介绍一种内孔直径达30mm、中心场强达5. 51T的密绕超导磁体系统的设计与研制,用于相对反波振荡器的运行。基于磁场均匀度的考虑,该磁体由三个同轴线圈组成。三个线圈由一个电源串联供电。整个磁体均匀度在轴向方向优于±0. 5%。此外,运用一对HTS超导引线和二级G-M制冷剂(1. 5W@4. 2K)实现整个系统的液氦零蒸发。 This paper described the design and development of a homogeneous magnetic field superconducting magnet with a room - temperature bore of 30 mm and a central field of 5.51 T for relativistic backward - wave oscillator. As a result of magnetic field homogeneity considerations, the magnet was composed of three coaxial coils. All coils were connected in series and charged with a single power supply. The magnetic field homogeneity was better than + 0.5% from -30 mm to 30 mm in axial direction. The magnet could be operated in persistent mode with a superconducting switch. In addition, a pair of HTS current leads and a two - stage GM cryocooler with cooling capacity of 1.5 W at 4.2 K were adopted to realize a zero liquid helium boil - off.
