The application of library-related exception clauses in the Copyright Act of Canada mainly includes research or private study, document delivery, preservation of information resources, information services for disabled users, exploitation of orphan works, etc. With the change of information technology and the international intellectual property environment, the Copyright Act of Canada has focused on the needs of public interests represented by libraries and made timely adjustment to provide libraries with more exceptions during the revision process, which was also due to Canadian librarians＇ active participation in revisions of Copyright Act.
